Dermal Filler

Dermal fillers are clear gels of hyaluronic acid which are a sophisticated and safe FDA approved treatment. They are used to balance, plump and restore facial contours, whilst other types of filler work on glow and skin condition.

A comprehensive assessment is key to successful filler treatment so that treatment can be tailored to your need. Where lines are shallow a direct dermal filler approach can be adopted to smooth out the skin surface.

WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS?

Dermal fillers are clear gels of hyaluronic acid and are one of the most popular cosmetic treatments available. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in your body which lines joints and cells. For cosmetic purposes this is used to lift and sculpt the face which results in smoother lines and a refreshed facial appearance without obviously changing your face. The aim is to age well without distorting natural anatomy.

Side effects
Bruising, swelling, discomfort are all short lived. Other patient or treatment specific side effects can be discussed in more detail at the time of consultation.

Treatment price
From £300 depending on the area treated and the dermal filler requirement

Additional notes
Following the procedure, it is advisable to avoid high impact sports, saunas or facials, direct sun exposure including sunbeds, and facial massage for 3 weeks. In addition, you should sleep with your face up for 24 hours.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DERMAL FILLERS?

Dermal fillers give you an immediate result with little or no down time. They are an extremely well tolerated treatment with the highest patient satisfaction levels. It is safe, and non-permanent.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE FACE WHEN IT AGES?

As the face ages it loses fat pads in the cheeks and the tissue in the mid-face descend, causing naso-labial (nose to lip) folds, marionette (lip to jaw) lines and jowls. The initial approach to tackling facial ageing often involves dermal fillers, and when combined with other modalities of treatment gives elevated results.
