Platelet Rich Plasma

For over thirty years, PRP has been used in many different medical fields including cardiac surgery, oral surgery, orthopedics, wound care, sports medicine and cosmetics.
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) obtained from your blood contains platelets which work on the body to repair damage from a cut or tear. Platelets have growth factors which stimulate collagen production when injected into the skin. This can be used for:

  • Large pores
  • Acne scars
  • Anti-ageing
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Keloid scars
  • Promoting scalp hair growth
  • Lipodystrophy

Research and data has shown PRP from a patients’ own blood is safe, with very minimal risk of adverse reactions or complications. Because the platelets are produced from your own blood there is no risk of rejection or allergy.

Improvement in tone and texture of the skin is noticeable within three weeks. Over this time the platelets will release the growth factors and stem cells which assist in collagen growth.
