Silhouette Soft Thread Lift

Silhouette Soft® is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment to lift the skin. It is the only treatment with a unique dual lifting-and-collagen regenerating effect.

Silhouette Soft® is comprised of threads and cones, both made from poly-l-lactic acid – a dissolvable stitch material. The threads act as scaffolding under the surface of the skin to lift sagging soft tissues of the face immediately. The cones both hold the threads in place, and in time stimulates the body’s production of collagen to replace depleted facial volume which diminishes with age.

What does Silhouette Soft involve?

Local anaesthetic is applied to the face and the Silhouette Soft thread is placed under the skin using a fine needle. After inserting the thread, the treated area is reshaped and the thread is tightened to achieve an immediate lift.

Side effects
Temporary entry point dimple, bruising, swelling, discomfort all disappear within 72 hours.

Note:
Following the procedure, it is advisable to avoid high impact sports, saunas or facials, direct sun exposure including sunbeds, and facial massage for 3 weeks. In addition, you should sleep with your face up for 5 days.

What happens to the face when it ages?

As the face ages it loses fat pads in the cheeks and the tissue in the mid-face descend, causing naso-labial (nose to lip) folds, marionette (lip to jaw) lines and jowls. For some people fillers and Botox aren’t enough, or they have may reached their limit as adding too much can also begin to change the way the face looks. Instead you need something else to lift the tissues in the jaws and mid-face which has started to descended. Silhouette Soft can do just that subtly - with no surgery. Silhouette Soft allows me to lift skin and jowls by up to a centimetre while reducing those folds and lines that drag the face down.

What will you notice and when?

The results are immediate and noticeable – your skin will look lifted – but very natural. What’s even better is that results continue to improve over the coming months! The cones on the threads actually stimulate the body to produce its own collagen, helping increase the volume of saggy areas, restoring shapeliness to the face gradually to produce a nuanced and biologically-true appearance.

Who is this procedure suitable for?

From the age of 40 we lose 1% of collagen a year. This diminishing volume causes the overlying skin to become lax and it droops downwards. If you can lift your skin upwards by one centimetre with your fingers you may be suitable for Silhouette Soft treatment.

Does it hurt?

Once the local anaesthetic takes effect there is no discomfort felt during the procedure.
